My eating philosophy is much the same. If you are allowing food to control your life than something needs to change, because we can't just take it out of our lives. Food should be relaxing and enjoyable. As a collegiate athlete and student my life can be chaotic at times but I always have food to fall back on.
In this constantly moving world it is easy to rely on fast food and pre packaged meals with tons of preservatives. The typical diet for an average American depends on speed rather than quality. Trust me I get it, sometimes you're too busy to take an hour to cook a healthy dinner. But, there are alternatives!
I'm not some crazy health nut and I'm not even studying nutrition, I just like to cook simple meals that fuel my body and help keep me fit. My goal here is to present to you an atypical diet that the typical individual can utilize and learn from. We will not conform to this world! I will also share a few tips and advice from my mentors and my own life experience on how to maintain a relaxed balanced lifestyle in this crazy world and a bit about running on a D1 college team.
